No Quarantine Needed To Enter UK With Sinovac, Sinopharm And Covaxin Vaccines
LONDON: The United Kingdom stated on Monday (Nov 8) that China’s Sinovac and Sinopharm vaccines, as well as India’s Covaxin vaccine, would be added to the country’s authorised list of Covid-19 vaccinations for inbound travel.
“From 4am Monday, Nov 22, Covid-19 vaccines on the WHO (World Health Organisation) EUL (emergency use listing) will be recognised and all under-18s coming to England will be treated as fully vaccinated at the border," Anadolu Agency (AA) quoted a government’s statement.
Passengers who have been fully vaccinated and have received their vaccine certificate from one of more than 135 approved countries and territories are not required to conduct a pre-departure test, day eight test or self-isolate upon arrival in the United Kingdom.
Instead, travellers will only be required to pay for a lateral flow test before the end of their second day after arriving.

The latest statement, according to British Health Secretary Sajid Javid, is a step forward for the travel sector, businesses, and family and friends looking to reunite or travel abroad.
“The red list and quarantine system remain vital in protecting our borders, and as we’ve said, we will not hesitate to take action by adding countries to the red list if necessary," he added.
