Nearly 97 Percent Of Malaysian Adults Fully Vaccinated

As of yesterday, a total of 22,689,471 individuals, or 96.9 percent of Malaysia’s adult population, had completed their COVID-19 vaccination.

According to the Health Ministry’s COVIDNOW site, 98.3 percent of the adult population, or 23,028,508 individuals, have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

Meanwhile, 89.7% or 2,822,370 adolescents aged 12 to 17 have received at least one dose of the vaccine, while 86.1 percent or 2,709,263 have received all doses.

Yesterday, a total of 135,914 doses of the vaccine were administered, with 8,313 doses administered as a second dose, 4,703 doses administered as a first dose, and 122,898 doses administered as a booster dose.

As of yesterday, 53,517,981 doses of the vaccine have been administered as part of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Program, including 2,457,510 doses as boosters.
