Foreign Nationals Who Violate Covid-19 SOPs Risk Deportation And Blacklisting Says Immigration Department
Foreign nationals who breach the COVID-19 preventative measures’ standard operating procedures (SOP) risk having their permits and immigration privileges revoked, according to Immigration director-general Datuk Khairul Dzaimee Daud.
He further said that anyone found guilty will be deported to their country of origin and barred from reentering the country, as stipulated in Sections 8 and 9 of the Immigration Act 1959/63.
“In this regard, the Immigration Department advises all foreign nationals to abide by the current directives and regulations of government agencies regarding the COVID-19 pandemic prevention measures," he said in a statement today.
He said that the problem of foreigners violating the COVID-19 SOP has lately garnered attention on social media, with some upset individuals even challenging authorities to take action against them.
