Dr. Azfar Kamal, a doctor from Sungai Buloh Hospital, recently tweeted on Twitter to warn Malaysians to be vigilant of the upcoming COVID-19 wave in December.

According to his tweet, the hospital's active wards and ICUs were full with category 4 and 5 (symptomatic and critically unwell) patients.

These are warning indications of an impending COVID-19 wave in the next month.

In a subsequent tweet, Dr. Azfar Kamal asked Malaysians to exercise and follow the government's standard operating procedures (SOP).

His tweet has received a lot of attention. Just at time of writing, it had been retweeted over 20,000 times and garnered over 19,000 replies, with many netizens voicing their concerns.

Ordered To Delete His Tweet And Stay Silent

After an hour, Dr. Azfar Kamal revealed that he had been ordered to remove the tweet, however it is unclear which party had asked him to do so.

The doctor said that he was only raising public awareness since he had “nothing to hide."
