82.5% Adolescents In Malaysia Now Fully Vaccinated

As of yesterday, a total of 2,597,662 adolescents, or 82.5 percent of Malaysia’s teenage population, had completed their COVID-19 vaccination.

According to the Health Ministry’s COVIDNOW site, 2,758,317 individuals, or 87.6 percent of the teenage population, have received at least one dose of the vaccination.

Adult vaccination coverage is 95.7 percent, or 22,413,570 individuals, while 97.9 percent, or 22,930,251 individuals, have received at least the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination.

Yesterday, 109,016 doses of the vaccine were administered, with 11,912 doses administered as a second dose, 4,941 doses administered as a first dose, and 92,163 doses administered as a booster dose.

This brings the total number of vaccine doses provided under the National COVID-19 Immunisation Program to 52,082,943.
